Mad Anthony Wayne

Released for America’s 250th, this beer honors General “Mad” Anthony Wayne. During the brutal winter at Valley Forge, Wayne led a daring cattle drive — crossing the Delaware, rounding up helds in Salem County, and outrunning the British back across the river to feed the starving troops.

In 1976, Cowtown founder Stoney Harris reenacted that legendary chase for the bicentennial.

Brewed with 100% grain from Rabbit Hill Farms (Shiloh, NJ), Paramount wheat, malt, and Barbados blackstrap molasses — crafted as close as possible to a 200-year-old recipe. A toast to local heritage, our military, and visionaries like Stoney Harris and Rabbit Hill Farms.

The Crossing

In 1776 George Washington crossed the Delaware right from our backyard. Our 250th anniversary peace offering: dark and toasty with a smooth hint of licorice.
